We are quickly approaching the Match! Yesterday, my email inbox was bombarded with emails about the schedule for "Match Week" which lead to not one, but two Match nightmares last night. Both involved us opening our envelope and seeing awful locations and being panicked - one was Shreveport, LA, and I don't remember the other.
For those of you interested here is the simplified schedule for next week:
Monday: noon, we are notified if we matched or not
Tuesday: noon, "Scramble" begins for those who do not match
Thursday: noon, our class has a big assembly/drunken party at school when they hand out envelopes one person at a time with your residency assignment. This is followed by a reception where I suppose everyone eats and pretends to be happy even though about half probably want to go home and cry.
Soon after, we get packets of contracts, policies, forms, city information, etc. from the programs. This will give me something to do! And Matt will be on the home shopping Thursday night I assure you. Right now he comes home from school with 4-5 houses from different cities to show me online. : )
